Would you like to experience more get-up-and-go?
Why can’t fresh healthy meals prepare themselves?
Does it feel as if caffeine – and the thought of the bed that you will eventually fall into – is the only thing fueling you through the day?
Are you fed up with fighting one germ after another?
How can we even achieve a natural high? Isn’t it all about macrobiotic diets, marathons and meditation?
For most of us, there is only one thing stopping us from achieving our health goals… and, whilst all of the above are certainly great things in their own right, lasting change is down to another kind of ‘M altogether’: The Mind.
The mind is in charge of the body and unless we take control of it, some things (our perpetual attempts to lose weight/get fitter/squeeze in a daily walk in natural surroundings/drink less alcohol/drink more water/sleep better/ditch the time-sucking social media gadgets) will never change. Even our willpower is governed by certain energy centres – or chakras – in the body so wishful thinking can only get us so far. But when we take a systematic yet spiritual approach to self-care, the health effects can be immense and the results can be fast, spurring us on to reach for greater heights. Pranic Healing is a complementary therapy which does just that; combining ancient healing methods with modern science.
So many of our obstacles are created by the mind and the mind alone. It is literally the only thing that stands between the life we have resigned ourselves to living (and sadly, in many cases, tolerating) and living our very best life. Those last five words may sound like an idealistic cliché, but they are totally achievable. Sometimes we just have to remember the basics of Pranic Healing. Everything is energy. We simply need to manipulate it to master our mindset. Those magical ‘M’ words again, but they really do contain the power to upgrade every aspect of our lives!
If we haven’t yet taken a Pranic Healing course then sitting down to relax and empty the mind with the Twin Hearts meditation is a great place to start (more on the benefits of that and online sessions here) alongside practices such as positive affirmations and deep breathing techniques. These things alone are powerful habits that can easily be slotted into our days. As Master Choa Kok Sui says, “Sometimes the mind is like a wild horse. It doesn’t know how to behave. If emotions and passions are not controlled, how can you have stillness?”.
Those of us who have been on Pranic Healing Level 1, Advanced Pranic Healing and the Pranic Psychotherapy courses, can add all of the cleansing and energising techniques that we have learnt from those courses to the mix. Now we have a toolkit and a half to keep our lives on track! But scheduling is key. Sunday afternoon is a great time to sit for a few moments with the diary to give each protocol or technique a non-negotiable time in the coming week… else we fly by the seat of our pants and procrastination reigns supreme. Once again, these commitments needn’t be long or feel heavy; slowly wins the race, as they say.

And if we are ready to take our Pranic Healing journey to the next level and we have taken the aforementioned courses, then the beautiful and peaceful location of South Cerney in Gloucestershire awaits us in September for the upcoming Arhatic Yoga course, where we learn how to remove lingering weaknesses and build on our strength of character – both things pertinent to our health and lending themselves not only to the improvement of our own lives but those of others. There is still time to take advantage of the early bird discount, and this is a once every two year event, so don’t miss out!
